Advanced Charging Technologies (ACT) Announces the Launch of the 2nd Generation BATTview Battery Monitor

Advanced Charging Technologies (ACT) is pleased to announce the launch of the 2nd Generation BATTview battery monitor.  BATTview 2.0 is the culmination of advanced technology combined with customer usability research results.  In addition to improved performance, BATTview 2.0 is easy to install and requires no calibration.

BATTview 2.0 incorporates an internal Power Line Communication (PLC) on-off switch, Hall effect/split core current sensor, dual temperature sensors, and a high-speed Wi-Fi chipset with improved performance.

BATTview 2.0 Enhanced Features and Benefits:

• PLC internal on-off switch has reduced the need for multiple BATTview SKUs.  BATTview 2.0 will communicate with the ACT Quantum Charger and operate in an environment with a mixed fleet of chargers by allowing the PLC circuit to be switched on or off the charging path, as needed.
• Hall effect/split core current sensor will simplify installation by eliminating the need for calibration and will ensure long-term current measurement accuracy. With the split core construction, the battery cable connector doesn’t need to be removed, which streamlines the installation process.

• External temperature sensor for redundancy will ensure that if for any reason the internal temperature sensor gets damaged or fails, the battery temperature will continue to be measured and reported.
• New Wi-Fi chipset boasting much higher speeds, which will further enhance wireless connectivity and cloud integration for remote monitoring and control. Remote and wireless firmware and software updates will push in seconds allowing for seamlessly updated functionality and continuous improvements with minimal effort.

The BATTview 2.0 will begin shipping from La Mirada, CA on September 10, 2018.  BATTview battery monitors are UL/cUL certified and meet the most stringent ANSI/UL 583 safety standards for electric battery powered industrial trucks.
